Academic Calendar Details for Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano The school administration has announced the authorized academic calendar for the 2023–2024 academic session, and this is a notice to all students at Yusuf Mataima Sule University, Kano. These are the key events that are scheduled for the session:

Calendar of Classes for the First Semester of 2023–2024 at YMSUK

Registration for new students is scheduled for Monday, February 12th through Sunday, February 24, 2024.

Registration for returning students is scheduled from Sunday, February 17th – Sunday, February 24th, 2024.

Beginning of first semester lectures on Monday, February 26th, 2024.

March 4th, 2024, Monday: New Student Matriculation Ceremony

New student orientation will be held by university departments and faculties from Monday, March 11th through Saturday, March 16th, 2024.

Revision scheduled for Saturday, May 25th–Friday, May 30th, 2024
First Semester Examinations: Monday, June 3rd, 2024 – Saturday, June 22nd, 2024

First Semester Break: Monday, June 24th, 2024, to Saturday, August 31st, 2024

SECOND SEMESTER
Monday, September 2nd, 2024: Second semester lectures begin.

Mid-Semester Break: Monday, 14th – Saturday,  October 19th, 2024

Monday, 4th  – Saturday, 9th November, 2024: Revision

Monday, 11th–Saturday, November 30th, 2024: Exams for the second semester

Saturday, November 30th, 2024: Academic Session Ends for 2023–2024

Monday, February 17th, 2024: The academic session for 2024–2025 begins.
