The Emir of Kano cautions against permitting freaks to the police academy

Alhaji Aminu Bayero, Emir of Kano, urged the Nigeria Police School in Wudil to undertake assessments on candidates before enrolling them to the academy.

Bayero made the call during a courtesy visit to Kano by the academy’s commandant, Sadik Abubakar.

The emperor stated that the appeal was required to ensure that “only cadets with solid morals are accepted into the police in order not to aggravate the precarious situation of safety in the country.”

The emir then asked him to choose persons nominated by the palace, underlining that the traditional authority had certified their honesty and manner following meticulous screening.
