Edo State University Opens 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry Admission Portal

Edo State University, Iyamho has officially commenced the sale of its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry admission forms, giving qualified candidates the opportunity to secure admission into one of Nigeria’s leading institutions

Prospective students who selected the university as their first choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored at least 150 can now begin the screening registration process Eligible Direct Entry applicants are also invited to apply

The admission exercise includes both online and physical screening, depending on the program of study, with applicants encouraged to complete all requirements before the closing date to improve their chances of admission

Eligibility Requirements for Edo State University Post UTME 2026/2027

To qualify for the screening exercise, applicants must satisfy the following conditions:

  • Have participated in the 2026 UTME and obtained a minimum score of 150, alongside the approved cut off mark for their chosen course
  • Possess the required O’Level credits as specified in the JAMB Brochure
  • Have selected Edo State University, Iyamho as their first choice institution
  • Direct Entry applicants must have completed JAMB DE registration and meet the university’s entry requirements
  • Be at least 16 years old on or before 30 September 2026
  • Candidates who did not initially choose the university but scored 150 or above may still apply after changing their first choice institution through JAMB CAPS before completing the application

Only applicants who upload their O’Level results to JAMB CAPS on or before 31 August 2026 will be considered for admission

Registration Period and Application Fees

The registration portal opened on 12 June 2026 and will remain accessible until 31 August 2026

Application fees are as follows:

  • UTME and Direct Entry Screening: ₦2,000 (non refundable)
  • Inter University Transfer Application: ₦60,000 (non refundable)

Applicants are advised to make payments exclusively through the university’s official Remita payment platform Payments made to individuals or unofficial accounts are not recognized

How to Apply for the Admission Screening

Candidates should:

  • Visit the university admission portal
  • Select the appropriate application category
  • Carefully review the admission requirements and instructions
  • Complete the application form using the correct JAMB Registration Number
  • Use a valid personal email address and phone number
  • Upload all required supporting documents
  • Log back into the portal periodically to monitor application status

Applicants changing institutions must first update their preferred institution to Edo State University through JAMB CAPS before proceeding

Screening Process for Different Programs

Physical Screening

  • Candidates seeking admission into Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, and Law will participate in an on-campus Post UTME or Post DE screening exercise Details regarding the date and venue will be communicated by the university
  • Selection for these programs will consider performance in the screening test, verified JAMB scores, and O’Level results uploaded on JAMB CAPS

Important Guidelines for Applicants

  • Candidates should ensure that all personal information on their JAMB CAPS profile matches the details submitted during registration
  • Applicants awaiting WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB 2026 results may apply, provided the results are uploaded to JAMB CAPS before the application deadline
  • Admission offers must be accepted on JAMB CAPS within two weeks of issuance Failure to do so could lead to automatic withdrawal of the offer
  • The university also cautions applicants against paying money through unofficial channels, emphasizing that admissions are based strictly on merit and established procedures
