The Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun (FUPRE) has opened registration for its supplementary Post UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session, giving eligible candidates another opportunity to pursue admission into the specialized petroleum university
The supplementary exercise is particularly important for candidates who missed the university’s initial Post UTME screening held between July 21 and 25, 2026 It is also open to eligible candidates who intend to change their institution of choice to FUPRE and participate in the admission process
According to a statement issued by the university’s Registrar, Dr E. Jane Omoyine, registration will close on Sunday, August 23, 2026, while the supplementary screening exercise is scheduled for Monday, August 24, and Tuesday, August 25, 2026
FUPRE Supplementary Post UTME Registration Opens
FUPRE has invited eligible candidates to register for its supplementary Post UTME screening exercise for the 2026/2027 academic session
The university said the exercise is intended to give prospective students another opportunity to seek admission after the completion of the initial screening exercise

- FUPRE must be the candidate’s first choice institution, or the candidate must complete the required Change of Institution process to FUPRE
- Candidates must have at least five relevant O’ Level credit passes
- The required O’ Level subjects must include English Language and Mathematics
- The required credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings
- Candidates must be at least 16 years old by September 30, 2026
- Recognized O’ Level examinations include SSCE, NECO, GCE and NABTEB
