JAMB has accredited 747 CBT centers for the 2024 UTME; registration is open now.

Registration for the 2024/2025 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations will open on Monday, February 24, 2024, and run through February 24, 2025, according to the Joint Admission and Matriculations Board.

Additionally, JAMB has opened up registration for qualified applicants nationwide.

In a meeting with media executives on Sunday in Lagos State, the JAMB Registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, stated that precautions have been taken to guarantee a smooth exam.

“The Board conducts an accreditation exercise prior to the commencement of the registration exercise to check the suitability of each CBT Center for the conduct of its examination,” stated Oloyede.
Oloyede mentioned that the Chief External Examiners (VCs/Rectors/Provosts), Technical Advisors, JAMB state coordinators, and JAMB Technical Officers were among the individuals on the accreditation team of the CBT centers for the 2024 UTME.

As stated in the exam body’s presentation to the pertinent stakeholders, candidates must construct a profile at various computer-based test centers across the nation using their National Identity Number as part of the registration process.

Candidates must also create their profile using one of the JAMB USS codes—55019 or 66019—in order to register.Oloyede stated that in order to complete the registration process, candidates must provide their thumbprint as a unique verification mechanism.
The registration price is N3,500, and in accordance with the protocol, cashless payment will be made to prevent extortion.

In contrast to the 613 approved centers in 2023, JAMB accredited 747 CBT centers nationwide for the 2024 UTME, according to a document made accessible on Sunday.

This indicates that there would be 134 more CBT locations available for the matriculation exams this year.

With 80 authorized centers, Lagos leads the list of states with the most, followed by Ogun with 44 and Oyo in third place with 42 centers.

With only six authorized centers, Zamfara had the fewest number; Ebonyi and Kebbi States each have eight centers.
The South-West geopolitical zone has the most number of CBT centers (226), while the North-East has the fewest (67). This information was uncovered through analysis.
