Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun Release Calendar for Second Semester 2022/2023 Session

The calendar provides information on significant occasions, such as the return of new and returning students in January, lecture sessions, orientation, matriculation, and election break. It also outlines the dates for the exams for the first semester, the academic break, and the second semester’s subsequent start. With the start of the 2023–2024 school year, the calendar comes to an end.

Academic Calendar for the Petroleum Training Institute

The Petroleum Training Institute (PTI), Effurun, has carefully altered its academic calendar for the 2022/2023 full-time program session out of a strong commitment to its academic culture and the seamless development of its program. This calculated action will influence the pace of the academic year and provide students with a clearer idea of how their academic journey will unfold.

The following schedule applies to the second semester:

• Second Semester Resumption: On Sunday, July 16, 2023, the institute will reopen for the second semester.
• Lecture Period: The second semester’s 16-week lecture period will run from Monday, July 17, to Friday, November 3, 2023.
•  First Test, Student’s Week, and Second Test: The first test will take place between Monday, August 14, and Friday, August 18, 2023, and the Student’s Week will follow from Monday, August 21, to Friday, August 25, 2023. The second test is slated to take place from Monday, September 18, to Friday, September 22, 2023.
•  Finishing Research Defense: From Monday, October 16, to Friday, October 20, 2023, students in the ND1 and HND1 programs will present their project defenses.
• Examining in the second semester will take place from Monday, November 6 to Friday, November 24, 2023.
•  Academic Break: From Friday, November 24, 2023, to Friday, December 29, 2023, students will have an academic break following their second-semester exams.
• SIWES: Beginning Monday, November 27, 2023, and concluding Monday, February 26, 2024, is a 13-week industrial training program.
• The Academic Board will take the second-semester exam results into consideration: On Monday, January 8, 2024, the results of the second semester will be taken into account.
• A New Beginning: The 2023/2024 Academic Session
• After the 2022/2023 session is over, the institute gets ready for the start of the following academic session. Old students will arrive on January 14, 2024, and new students on January 7, 2024. SIWES ND1 students will arrive on March 30, 2024, on Sunday.
