UNIZIK Releases 2026/2027 Post UTME & DE Admission Form

Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has officially announced the commencement of its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry screening registration exercise Candidates who scored 160 and above in the 2026 UTME can now begin their online application process through the university’s admission portal

The announcement has generated excitement among thousands of admission seekers across Nigeria who are hoping to secure admission into one of the country’s leading federal universities UNIZIK also confirmed that Direct Entry candidates with approved qualifications such as OND, HND, First Degree, or A’Level certificates are eligible to apply

According to the university management, registration starts on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, and closes on Sunday, June 21, 2026 Interested applicants are advised to complete their registration early and carefully follow all instructions provided by the institution

Candidates who selected Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka or any of its affiliate institutions as their first choice institution in the 2026 UTME and scored at least 160 are qualified to apply for the screening exercise

Applicants who did not initially choose UNIZIK as their first choice institutiony candidates are expected to possess qualifications such as:

  • OND
  • HND
  • First Degree
  • A’Level certificates

All qualifications must relate to the candidate’s chosen course of study

UNIZIK has provided key deadlines for all applicants participating in the 2026/2027 admission screening exercise

Registration Opening and Closing Date

  • Registration Begins: Wednesday, May 27, 2026
  • Registration Closes: Sunday, June 21, 2026

Deadline for Change of Institution or Course

Candidates planning to switch to UNIZIK or change their course must complete the process before Sunday, June 14, 2026 Any modification made after that date will not be recognized by the university

Documents Required for UNIZIK Direct Entry Screening

Direct Entry applicants must ensure their academic transcripts are sent directly to the Registrar of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka before the deadline

In addition, candidates are required to submit hard copies of:

  • JAMB Direct Entry E slip
  • O’Level results
  • OND/HND/First Degree/A’Level certificates
  • These documents must reach the Office of the Deputy Registrar (Admissions) on or before June 21, 2026

The university warned that any Direct Entry candidate whose transcript is not received before the deadline may lose admission consideration

The screening application fee for the 2026/2027 admission exercise is ₦2,000 only

UNIZIK Issues Strong Warning Against Admission Fraud

The university management warned candidates and parents to avoid fraudsters demanding money in exchange for admission assistance

UNIZIK emphasized that admissions are strictly merit based and that unauthorized payments or bribes should be reported immediately for criminal investigation

The institution also stated that it would not be held responsible for payments made using incorrect JAMB registration numbers or through unofficial platforms
