UK Updates Student Visa Rules on Proof of Funds

The UK government has confirmed that applicants from selected countries are eligible for the differential evidence requirement, allowing them to submit Student visa applications without attaching financial documents at the point of application

However, the exemption only relates to documentation and does not remove the obligation to meet the UK’s financial requirements

UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) can still request applicants to provide proof of funds before making a final decision on any visa application

Nigerian Students Still Required to Meet Financial Evidence Rules

Nigeria is not included in the list of countries eligible for the documentary exemption
