The Lagos State University (LASU) has officially commenced its 2026/2027 Post UTME and Direct Entry admission screening exercise for qualified candidates seeking admission into various undergraduate programs

LASU Begins 2026/2027 Admission Screening Exercise
LASU has opened its online admission screening portal for candidates seeking admission into 100 Level through UTME and 200 Level through Direct Entry for the 2026/2027 academic session
The university stated that participation in the screening exercise is compulsory for all applicants who wish to be considered for admission into any of its accredited undergraduate programs
Who Is Eligible to Apply for LASU Post UTME?
To qualify for the screening exercise, candidates must:
- Choose LASU as their first choice institution in the 2026 UTME
- Score a minimum of 195 in the UTME
- Be at least 16 years old by October 1, 2026
- The screening exercise is open to:
- UTME candidates seeking 100 level admission
- Direct Entry candidates seeking 200 level admission
- LASU Pre MDegree Studies (PDS) graduates
- JUPEB candidates and other Direct Entry applicants who selected LASU as first choice
For Direct Entry admissions, the university clarified that only LASU Diploma qualifications will be accepted, except for NCE holders applying to programmes within the Faculty of Education

Step 3 Pay the Screening Fee

Step 4 Complete the Screening Form
Applicants will be required to provide:

- O’Level examination results

Candidates may update certain information if necessary, although additional charges may apply for corrections or rescreening.
LASU O’Level Requirements for Admission
Applicants must possess at least five relevant credit passes in not more than two sittings.
- However, specific programs have additional requirements
- For Medicine and Dentistry
- O’Level results must be obtained in one sitting only
For Engineering Programs:
Candidates combining two sittings must possess six credits, including:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Physics
- Chemistry
Applicants seeking admission into Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering must also have a credit pass in Further Mathematics
LASU further emphasized that English Language remains compulsory for admission into all programs
The university also warned that examination results obtained after July 2026 will not be accepted for the screening exercise.

- The university has advised all candidates to upload their O’Level results on the JAMB CAPS portal before the screening deadline
