WAEC: THE SECOND REGISTRATION PHASE OF THE WEST AFRICAN EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL (WAEC) GCE 2023 BEGINS

Registration for the 2023 Second Series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates begins on July 10, 2023. The test covers 36 courses, and potential candidates can confirm available towns and subjects by visiting www.waecnigeria.org. Registration will be available online at www.waeconline.org.ng, and will incorporate biometric features for validation at exam centers. The registration period lasts through August 11, 2023, and the registration price is N18,000. Candidates must complete their registration within two weeks of accessing the website for the first time.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has officially announced the registration for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) 2023 – second series for private applicants. This notification is intended to notify the general public and prospective candidates for the forthcoming registration, which will commence on July 10, 2023.

Each year, the West African Examination Council (WAEC) holds two series of the West African Senior School Certificate Examination for Private Candidates. WASSCE for Private Candidates-First Series (January/February) and Second Series (August/September).

Candidates should also be aware that the registration process for the 2023 WAEC GCE has been structured to include biometric features that will be used for validation at the test centers.

The deadline is August 11, 2023.

How to Register for the WAEC GCE 2023

  • The fee for registration is N30,000.00 (N30,500.00) per candidate. Registration must be completed at least twenty-four hours before the scheduled time of the paper(s) to be taken.
  • Candidates are instructed to visit the Council’s official  website – www.waecnigeria.org to check the available examination towns and subjects before obtaining the registration PIN.
  • Candidates must pay an eighteen thousand naira (N18,000) registration fee at any of the following banks or any authorised agent to acquire the Registration PIN and Information VCD:
  • Candidates would be required to pay an extra commission of N500.00 to the banks/accredited agents. Candidates can also look into any of the Candidates will be requested to pay an additional Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) commission to the banks/accredited agents. NIN (NATIONAL IDENTIFICATION NUMBER):

For the Registration process, each Candidate must have a National Identification Number.

SPECIAL NEEDS CANDIDATES:

Candidates with special needs will register online in the same way as normal candidates, but they must explicitly describe their impairments, such as visual, low eyesight, spasticity, speech, hard to hear, and so on.

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Registration must be completed within two weeks of first accessing the website during the registration period.

They should check their names, passport, gender, subjects, dates of birth, and subjects properly. They must print the Admission Notice as proof of registration, which will be used as identification during the examination. The Admission Notice must also include the Result Checker PIN. •Entries must include passport images taken with a digital camera. The digital camera’s specifications should be Microsoft HD 3000. The passport photos must be in good quality BLACK & WHITE OR COLOUR (JPEG File only, 275 by 314 pixels with 72 dbi resolution) and have a CONTRASTING BACKGROUND. There must be no impediments. Please keep in mind that submitting defaced or poor quality pictures by a candidate will instantly disqualify the candidate’s entry. •Candidates must attend examinations in regular clothes and without weapons. In the test halls, no professional uniform of any type will be permitted.

•Candidates must bring their original Admission Notice to the examination hall.

•Candidates who commit examination malpractice will not only have their results canceled, but they may also face prosecution.

•  Candidates must provide legitimate email and phone number(s) when registering.
