Trinity University 4th Convocation 2026 Announced

Trinity University, Yaba, has officially announced its 4th convocation ceremony, marking a major milestone for the institution and its 2024/2025 graduating cohort The event, themed “Convoking a Galaxy of Stars Empowered to Make Global Impact,” will run from March 23 to March 27, 2026.

According to the management, the convocation ceremony is not just a graduation event but a symbolic “exit rite” that prepares students for global relevance The week long programme highlights the university’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and moral discipline.

Trinity University Sets Stage for 4th Convocation Ceremony

The management of Trinity University, Yaba, through its Vice Chancellor, Clement O. O. Kolawole, has ratified the full schedule for the 4th convocation ceremony.

The event will take place across multiple days at the university’s Yaba campus in Lagos, bringing together graduates, families, academic leaders, and industry stakeholders.

The university described the ceremony as a transition point from being a foundational institution to a globally competitive centre for research and training.

Full Schedule of Convocation Activities (March 23 to 27, 2026)

The convocation programme is structured into five key phases, each designed to build momentum toward the grand finale.

Day 1 Press Conference (March 23)

  • The week begins with a press briefing at the Senate Chamber, where the Vice Chancellor will present academic achievements, including graduating statistics and institutional milestones.

Day 2 Student Farewell Activities (March 24)

  • Graduating students will participate in social and networking events, creating a relaxed environment to celebrate their academic journey before formal proceedings begin.

Day 3 Matriculation & Academic Lecture (March 25)

  • A unique highlight is the simultaneous matriculation ceremony and convocation week activities.
  • The matriculation lecture will be delivered by Joseph Babatola Ayodele, symbolically connecting incoming students with graduating ones.

Day 4 Thanksgiving & Convocation Lecture (March 26)

  • The university will host a thanksgiving service followed by the convocation lecture delivered by Poju Oyemade.
  • The lecture is expected to focus on innovation, integrity, and preparing graduates for global economic challenges.

Day 5 Grand Convocation Ceremony (March 27)

  • The final day will hold at the Convocation Arena, Yaba Campus, where degrees and diplomas will be officially awarded.
  • Graduates will receive first degrees and special academic prizes in recognition of outstanding performance.
