FUNAAB ranks 2nd best University in Nigeria

In the recently announced 2023 inaugural Times Higher Education (THE), Sub-Saharan Africa University Rankings, the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) ranked second among Nigeria’s 258 universities and 26th in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The ranking recognized the best African universities across a wide range of performance factors, including access and fairness, Africa effect, teaching skills, student involvement, and resources and finance.

On Monday, June 26, 2023, the Sub-Saharan Africa university rankings were formally announced during the organization’s first forum, which was held in collaboration with Ashesi University in Ghana.

88 universities from 17 different countries are ranked in the rankings, which were created in collaboration with the MasterCard Foundation.

In a press statement, FUNAAB Vice-Chancellor Prof Olusola Babatunde Kehinde commended all members of the university community on the tremendous achievement, expressing the hope that it will serve as a spark for greater dedication to duty.
