EdTech company set to award N2m to best WAEC students

Chronicles Software, a provider of educational technology, has announced plans to offer a cash prize of N2 million to deserving candidates in Lagos State’s West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) as part of its SuccessBOX Excellence Award program.

The SuccessBOX Excellence Award seeks to recognize exceptional academic achievement and promote student academic excellence.

Based on their overall grades and performance in core subjects like mathematics, English, and science, it will recognize the top-performing students in the WAEC exams.

Mr. Oluwakoyejo Oluwatosin, CEO of Chronicles Software, says they are dedicated to helping students achieve their academic objectives and that academic excellence should be recognized and rewarded.

The SuccessBOX Excellence Award inspires pupils to pursue academic excellence and realize their full potential.

The top 10 performers in the WAEC exams will divide the N2 million cash prize equally.

He claims that the award presentation will take place in October 2023 and that notable guests will attend, including senior government officials, academics, parents, and students.

Mr. Abayomi Abolaji, permanent secretary of the Ministry of Education, praised Chronicles Software for its dedication to education and work to encourage academic excellence in students. He exhorted other businesses and organizations to invest in the education sector like Chronicles Software.

According to Abolaji ., “By investing in education, we are investing in the future of our country. We need more private sector organizations to collaborate with the government in supporting education in Nigeria.

Students must have taken the WAEC exams and received A grades in a minimum of seven core subjects in order to be considered for the SuccessBOX Excellence Award. The selection procedure will be open and purely merit-based. The winners will receive their awards at a live television and social media ceremony.
