NAN: National Association of Nigerian Students receives brand new 30-seater bus from TETFund

The Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) donated a 30-seater brand new Toyota Coaster bus to the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) on Monday to facilitate easy transportation.

Arch. Sonny Echono, Executive Secretary of TETFund, presented the bus and stated that it is also creating interventions to solve student hostel difficulties, transportation and others.

Echono stated that the meeting was a continuation of its discussion with stakeholders, and that students are at the center of educational issues.

While emphasizing the importance of providing students with skills and rights assistance, Echono stated that TETFund would like students to be its eyes and ears in various universities, reporting erring contractors to maintain system transparency and stability across schools.

“We want to be able to identify a contact person on each campus who will be able to checkmate our projects so that we can have firsthand information even before sending our team there.” “We are engaging with other stakeholders, and as a result, our monitoring approach will be more transparent in the future.”

In response, NANS President Usman Barambu informed the board that the organization will conduct comprehensive checks across campuses to guarantee that contractors handling TETFund projects complete such projects and ensure the do a neat job.

The student body praised the board for donating a 30-seat coaster bus to them after the made their request known .

“We are here to express our gratitude and to encourage the entire management team to continue doing more for Nigerian students.”
